Opel Meriva has upgraded the engine and “automatic”

Opel has updated its minivan Opel Meriva, presenting a version with a petrol turbo engine and a new automatic transmission. Sales will begin in the summer of 2012.


In addition to the Opel Meriva with 1.7-liter 110-strong turbodiesel CDTI with 4-step  ”automatic” version of the minivan is now available with a turbocharged engine capacity of 1.4 liters, which is a pair of six-speed automatic transmission of a new generation. By the way, the new “machine” can be installed on the diesel version of Meriva.
Opel Meriva with a petrol turbo engine develops power of 120 hp. a. with a maximum torque of 200 Nm from 1750 rev / min. Acceleration of 100 km / h takes 11.9 seconds and a top speed of 185 km / h Average fuel consumption of new products is 7.2 liters per 100 km, while the model with the same engine and 6-stpenchatoy “mechanics” consumes 6.4 liters per 100 kilometers.

The new ACP differs fewer losses due to friction, quick and smooth shifting and reduced noise and vibration. Gear changes can be made using the ActiveSelect, allowing to do it manually. Another positive feature of the new transmission is a layout that made it possible to reduce the overall size of the “machine” at 30 mm.
