The 2.0-liter gasoline engine SKYACTIV-G has a high torque at low speeds, providing a boost in acceleration, which corresponds exactly to the intentions of the driver in various driving conditions. The maximum torque of 210 N / m at speed 4000 min-1, and the maximum power – 110 kW at engine speed 6000 min-1.
2.5-liter gasoline engine SKYACTIV-G, debuting on the new Mazda6, is lightweight and one of the best in the class value of the maximum torque 256 N / m, which is achieved at the speed 3250 min-1. The engine produces maximum power of 141 kW at engine speed 5700 min-1.
The 2.0-liter gasoline engine SKYACTIV-G is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission or a SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed manual transmission, SKYACTIV-MT. 2.5-liter SKYACTIV-G comes with an automatic transmission SKYACTIV-Drive. Both transmissions – both automatic SKYACTIV-Drive, and mechanical SKYACTIV-MT – provide vehicle dynamics, contributing to a linear variation of torque at the accelerator pedal.
The new Mazda6 is the first model, which was the application of the braking energy recovery system i-ELOOP. The system provides an additional reduction of fuel consumption in real driving conditions. The world’s first car with a regenerative braking system that uses a capacitor. System i-ELOOP installed the version with the 2.5-liter petrol engine
