Honda has officially unveiled the European version of the crossover ∗ Honda CR-V new generation ∗. Its premiere will be held at the Paris Motor Show, which opens in September. Variants of the model for the U.S. and Japan made their debut last November at the auto shows in Los Angeles and Tokyo, respectively.


Crossover CR-V became a five millimeters shorter and 30 millimeters below its predecessor – the overall length and height of the new items reached 4.57 and 1.65 meters respectively. Wheelbase remained the same – 2.62 meters. Inside, the rear seats are now set at 38 mm lower than before. The driver’s seat in its lowest position fell by 10 millimeters.
Trunk volume is 589 liters with the rear seat raised and 1669 liters when folded, and the chairs are arranged with the help of the drive. The length of the loading area is 1570 millimeters, which is 140 millimeters higher than before. Loading height has decreased by 30 millimeters.
Suv will now be offered in versions with a full and front drive. In the range of engines will include a two-liter petrol engine that develops 155 horsepower and 192 lb.-ft. of torque (five horsepower and two Nm more than its predecessor).
Also, the Europeans will get a 2.2-liter diesel engine rated at 150 horsepower (350 lb), which will be available only for vehicles with four-wheel drive. Next year lineup filled up petrol unit 1.6.
