Latvian company Dartz, specializing in the production of armored SUVs and calling itself the successor to the legendary automobile “Russo-Balt”, presented its new project – a model of the SUV Nagel Dakkar. The design of the vehicle will be used titanium, carbon fiber and Kevlar.
SUV was named in honor of the Russian journalist Andrei Nagel, who in 1902 founded the magazine “Car”. In 1911 he passed the first domestic car Russo-Balt C24/55 from St. Petersburg in Monte Carlo, breaking the 3260 kilometers in eight days.
In addition, the company Dartz argue that not only develop a new model, and create a class called «B.N.U.D.S». The acronym stands for “Assembled to order» (Bespoke), «noble» (Noble; car will be produced by one of the oldest brands in the world), “The City» (Urban), «Desert» (Desert; machine suited for serious off-road) “Safe» (Safety; receive new titanium roll cage). The framework will be developed by the German firm Saxon Automobile Manufactur, engaged in the construction of rally cars.

New gear will get created with the use of carbon fiber and Kevlar, 5.5-liter gasoline twin-turbo “eight» AMG power of 650 hp (850 Nm) and the seven-speed robotized gearbox with two clutches. Maximum speed off-road – 250 kilometers per hour.
Prices Dartz Nagel Dakkar in base equipment will begin from 250-300 euros. Production models will begin next year when you plan to collect only ten of them. By 2015, output will increase to 40 cars a year.
